We now, you already know all there is to know about technology.
You keep up with all the latest apps and devices. You have heard all the lectures.
We also know that way too many teens are still falling victim to digital abuse.
And many more are trapped into human trafficking.
Here are just a few more tips to keep you safe.

A  video our sheriff's office put together about Sexting...

You know this is what really happens to those photos...

3 Questions to Ask Yourself Before Sexting:

1.       Do I really want to do this? Are you sure you want a permanent record of your stuff? Is there a better way to show your hotness without being overexposed? If you are feeling pressured by a partner, is this the person you really want to be with?

2.       Where will this picture end up? Possible answers:

                             a. My partner's phone.
                            b.Their friends' phones.
                            c. Everyone's phone and inbox.

3.       What will happen next?

                            a. How will you feel about yourself when everyone sees this photo? How do you think others will feel?                                          Many teens are committing suicide because of sexting gone wrong.
                            b.  You or your partner get arrested. Anyone with your photo is in danger of arrest. Taking, sending, and                                           possessing naked images of a minor is a federal crime. Sex offenders' registry? Not the honor roll                                                      you were hoping for.

Contain the beast. Before you snap that pic, reflect on where your image may surface.

Resist pressure.  Why sext if you don't want to?

Break the cycle.  Don't pass on any sexts that come to you - and don't comment on them.
                                                              Forwards can live  forever.

A few online safety tips from a creeper.

Even though this was a humorous video, it shows real consequences of keeping yourself safe.
Please pay attention to what you post about yourself and others.
There are more threats out there than you realize. Human trafficking is a real problem here in the United States as well as all over the world. Many victims are lured by online 'friends.'
