There will also be open communication and boundaries.
This doesn't mean that there will be no arguments; it just means that a healthy relationship will be able to work things out without abuse.

In a healthy relationship…
- You and your partner will enjoy spending time apart – with other friends and activities – without checking up on each other.
- You are not afraid of your partner, always worried about what kind of ‘mood’ your partner will be in.
- You and your partner communicate openly and honestly and compromise when the need arises.
- You and your partner understand each other’s boundaries and that each of you have the right to say ‘no.’
- You feel that you could end the relationship if you are not happy, without fear or other consequences.
- You have fun together more often than not.
- You are both faithful to each other.
- You both look out for the best for each other.
- You and your partner share in decision making.
- You and your partner apologize when you are wrong.
