We have seen way too many people who feel like their lives are ruined by one mistake. Sometimes it feels like it is no big deal - what is the harm with just one picture? "My partner would never share my photo; we are going to last forever, I don't have to worry." The reality is, digital photos (yes, even Snap Chat ones) are easily shared and spread and it can be hard to tame the beast once unleashed. Sexters are four times more likely to think about suicide. It can feel like there is no way out. A shared picture can be devastating. Now we have the term "revenge porn" and there are websites devoted to hurting others. This is cyber-bullying at its worst. There is no excuse. People feel like the anonymity of online bullying gives them license to act in ways they never would in person. Please think before you snap that photo. NEVER share if you receive one. It is best to report the photo and then delete it. We have to stop this madness.
